Building Green: Brand spaces, interiors and offices with a reduced CO2 footprint

NEW! Professional office furniture with low CO2 Footbath pressure: www.buero-project.de

The use of innovative software enables us to determine the exact Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) of offices and brand spaces.

We are now in a position to calculate precise CO2 data - in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14067 or the GHG Protocol - for furniture and furnishing elements. See also here: https://buero-project.de/pages/co2-daten

Background: More and more companies are subject to increasingly detailed sustainability reporting requirements. Companies must provide ever more detailed information on the impact of their own actions on the environment and society. In order to comply with the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) on sustainability reporting along the entire supply chain or for compliance with Whole Life Carbon requirements for buildings, ever more precise data and key figures are required, for example in the area of CO2-emissions are required. As part of CSRD (ESRS E1 Climate Change), the impact of corporate activities on climate change or measures to limit global warming should be documented in detail.

The implementation of corporate strategies based on other standards such as the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) also requires increasingly precise data on CO2-emissions. In addition, customers and employees expect to be informed more and more precisely about the extent to which products and services are to be evaluated with regard to such issues.

The IT-supported CO2 Data management from mann Objecta provides a transparent data basis for determining CO2 emissions of brand rooms, interior fittings and offices. For the products and processes in our range, we prepare a detailed CO2 Balance sheet. The special product balancing procedure takes into account the exact materials and processes used to create the brand architecture or manufacture CI-compliant furniture. This data can be used for sustainable product development and further CO2 Accounting. Important key points are:

  • Compliance with the requirements and guidelines for carbon footprints of products (either in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14067 or the GHG Protocol)
  • Based on detailed Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) of the individual materials and corresponding specialist databases
  • Supports, among other things, compliance with the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) for sustainability reporting along the entire supply chain or specifications in the area of Whole Life Carbon of buildings

CO2 Data as the basis for innovation and product development

The data forms an important basis for decision-making in the further development of brand architectures, product presentations, interior design, furniture and offices. The data serves as a basis for the selection of materials and manufacturing processes with the lowest possible CO2 emissions. This enables the further development and redesign of important elements within the brand presentation, such as product carriers, which take into account the increased requirements in the area of «reduced CO2 footprint».

Brand rooms, furniture and offices with reduced CO2 Helping the footprint

  • Integrate climate targets into the implementation of brand architectures
  • Making climate solutions visible to customers and employees
  • in the fulfillment of CSRD requirements and climate-related corporate strategies
