Geers has been active in the field of hearing aid acoustics for over 60 years and has been part of the Swiss Sonova Group since 2016 with over 580 specialist stores in Germany. The aim of the contract is to modernize and adapt the German Geers stores to the current corporate design. A time window of two weeks is planned for each store conversion.
mann Objecta is responsible for the comprehensive planning, project organization and preparation of construction schedules as well as the execution and coordination of all necessary construction services and trades. This includes the installation of the special Geers acoustic technology, the supervision of the landlord's construction work and compliance with all building regulations.
The conversion begins with the demolition of the old building and the renovation of building components worthy of preservation, parallel to the dismantling of the old façade. The gutting will be followed by several days of electrical and IT pre-installation work as well as drywall and ceiling construction work. Sound insulation and fire protection measures as well as installations in the sanitary facilities will also be implemented. The ceilings will be fitted with Odenwald grid panels or special perforated acoustic panels (Knauf Cleaneo). Painting work, including the application of GEERS logo and photo wallpaper, will follow. At the same time, the lighting, electricity and IT elements are installed. Once the floor level has been leveled, floor coverings are laid: hard-wearing PVC laminate in the sales areas and carpeting in the acoustically sensitive hearing studio booths. The façade work includes the installation of LED illuminated advertising and CI-compliant shop window design.
The professional furniture assembly for consultation areas, cash desks and staff desks is carried out by mann Objecta. The final stage is the installation of functional shelving for hearing aids, hearing protection and accessories as well as the furnishing of the hearing studios. Comprehensive project documentation through to the final acceptance of the building completes the range of services.
